West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.
Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.
Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front over the outer
waters this evening will move E tonight. Low pressure will lift
NE along the front tonight and Thu. A second, stronger cold
front will immediately follow the first front later tonight
through Thu. A series of surface troughs will move through the N
and central waters Thu night into Fri as high pressure moves
into the S waters, with the high building N late Fri. High
pressure will move E Fri night as a warm front slowly moves N
over the central and N waters, stalling over or near the far N
waters Sat. A cold front will approach from the W late Sat and
moves into the waters Sat night. Low pressure will develop along
the front over the S waters by early Sun, moving NE Sun and Sun
night while gradually strengthening. The low will move NE of the
area by Mon. High pressure will briefly build in over the waters
Mon, followed by another cold front moving into the waters late
Mon night.
