New trailers and announcements for upcoming Xbox games.

It feels like we're getting so many showcases of upcoming games at the moment, and the latest one arrived today in the form of the Galaxies Spring Showcase that featured announcements and updates for over 50 titles.

Inevitably, a bunch of the reveals were for games that are coming to Xbox, so we've picked out all the reveals from the show that mentioned the brand in some form. Most of these had been announced before but just received new trailers or release windows, but a couple were games that had never been announced until today.

Welcome to the new world.

As part of today's 'Xbox First Look' broadcast, the team at 4A Games has finally revealed the next entry in the Metro series; Metro 2039. This is (somehow) an even darker, grittier look at the world taking a turn after nuclear disaster, and it seems like it'll be a real showpiece for current-gen systems.

You can take a look at the team's introduction to the new Metro game up above, which contains an opening cinematic, some sincere developer talk, and a little teaser snippet of gameplay right at the end. Oh, and here's a little bit of setup about the full game here as well:

It's just one potential option though.

Earlier this week, we heard via a leaked report that Asha Sharma believes Xbox Game Pass is too expensive and needs a "better value equation", and apparently there are various options under consideration for dealing with that.

As reported by The Verge today, one of the potential options "under consideration" at Xbox is to create a new tier of Game Pass that's exclusive to first-party games from Xbox's own studios. Here's what's said about this:

Including this short but sweet co-op adventure!

Xbox Free Play Days has returned once again for the next few days, and although we've only got two games as part of the selection this time around, one of them is a short but sweet co-op adventure that you'll easily be able to complete.

That game is South Park: Snow Day!, which may not be the most amazing South Park game ever made, but it's still a fun little hack-and-slasher that features plenty of great humour and bitesized chapter lengths. You're literally only looking at a few hours at most to finish the campaign.

New Quick Resume features, customisation options and more.

Although inXile's Wasteland Remastered is included in multiple tiers of Xbox Game Pass, it's currently showing up as being totally free to keep on the Xbox Store right now - which means that it's probably worth adding to your account while you can.

Indeed, heading over to the Microsoft Store listing for Wasteland Remastered right now, the game has a 'Get Free' tag before showing that it's also available in Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate. We'll link to the store listing down below so you can grab it:

Could it be arriving soon?

Following Modern Warfare's arrival on the service later this week, it looks as though Microsoft is preparing another Call of Duty title for Xbox Game Pass sometime in the near future.

It's been spotted that Call of Duty: Vanguard — the series' 2021 entry by Sledgehammer Games — has just gotten an Xbox for PC version via the Microsoft Store. Prior to this, there was just the console version of Vanguard in terms of an Xbox release, and this sort of move usually happens when the team is preparing a title for Game Pass on the backend.

It's that time again! Xbox has been giving out free gift cards to a bunch of people to celebrate Spring 2026, and although not everyone is eligible, it seems a decent number of Xbox users have been getting them.

Even I got one this time! Last night, I received a message from Xbox informing me of a £4 Xbox Gift Card that was attached to my account as a "Spring Gift". Here's another example of someone in the US getting a $5 Xbox Gift Card:

Shiny, shiny cinematics.

Fable is certainly one of Xbox's biggest releases of the year, and a new comment from Matt Booty gives us a little bit more insight into its development, and how an unlikely Microsoft team is helping bring the upcoming RPG to life.

In a new chat on the Official Xbox Podcast, the exec touches on how some of the teams are working together across games; revealing that Blizzard Entertainment is helping with cinematics work on the Fable reboot.

At this point, we know that Microsoft is full-speed ahead with Xbox Project Helix, and now Chief Content Officer Matt Booty has revealed that the company's first-party teams are deeply involved with crafting the hardware, even at an early stage.

Speaking on a new episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, Booty talked about the synergy between Xbox's hardware and software teams, and how the developers "are involved early on" - including with regards to the specs of the system.

Here's how much of Gears we're gonna see.

At the end of last month, Microsoft revealed fresh details on its Xbox Games Showcase featuring Gears of War: E-Day Direct, and now exec Matt Booty has revealed just how much of the new Gears game we're going to see in roughly two months' time.

While talking about planning for the show, Booty said that "we're going to have a full 30 minutes of stuff to see" for the Gears of War: E-Day Direct - which after how secretive The Coalition has been with this game so far, is music to our ears.
