Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Tropical N Atlantic
from 07N to 19N W of 55W, the N Atlantic from 19N to
31N W of 55W including the Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.
Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.
Synopsis for Caribbean Sea and Tropical N Atlantic from
07N to 19N W of 55W
.SYNOPSIS...Showers and thunderstorms near 1012 mb low pressure
between Grand Cayman and central Cuba will diminish overnight as
the low pressure weakens to a trough, moves into the Yucatan
Channel Tue, and dissipates Wed. This pattern is resulting in
weaker than normal trade winds over the south-central Caribbean
Tue, except for off Colombia. High pressure will build north of
the area off the Carolinas by mid week, supporting moderate to
fresh NE winds south of Cuba and Hispaniola, and across the
Windward Passage.
